The Kitchen Display System (KDS) is a real-time digital order board that replaces traditional paper tickets. It ensures your kitchen staff stays organized, reduces errors, and keeps service moving fast.
Access the Kitchen view from the sidebar (exclusive to Cook and Owner roles).
Incoming orders appear as digital cards instantly. Each card shows the Order ID, elapsed time, items, and quantities.
Tap 'Start Preparing' on a card to let the team know you've begun work. The card color will update to reflect this status.
Once finished, tap 'Mark Ready'. The order will move to the 'Recently Ready' tab and a notification will be sent to the server/cashier.
Use the filters to search for specific orders or filter by order type (Dine-in, Take-away, Delivery).
The elapsed time counter on each card helps you prioritize orders. Cards that have been pending the longest stay at the top to ensure first-in, first-out service.
